Top 10 mobile phones

Top 10 mobile phones
10. Samsung Galaxy S
Though it has now been surpassed by the Galaxy S 2 (with its dual-core processor), the Galaxy S remains one of the best Android phones on the market - and now at a cheaper price.
9. LG Optimus 2X
The first of the new breed of super-powered smartphones that run on dual-core processors, this slim handset from LG also offers Full HD video recording and playback.
8. Google Nexus S
Google's latest Nexus ticks a lot of boxes, but loses marks for its rather plasticy shell and occassional lagging. We love the internet browsing experience, good battery life and its bright screen, though.
7. HTC Incredible S
Fancy the HTC Desire S but want a slightly bigger screen? This might be the handset for you, since it comes with a four-inch display (as opposed to the Desire S 3.7-inch screen).
6. HTC HD7
Our pick of the current crop of Windows Phone 7 mobiles, the HD7 has a huge, responsive screen and Microsoft's impressive new mobile operating system. A 'pro' version, with slide-out keyboard, can also be had.
5. HTC Desire S
HTC has quickly made a name for itself as a market-leading mobile manufacturer and the Desire S is one of its best. It's a strong upgrade on the original Desire and packs the latest version of Android.
4.Motorola Atrix
A powerhouse of a phone, with huge potential that just falls short of where we'd like it to be. The laptop docking option with the Atrix is a fantastic addition, but the experience could be improved. That said, it is overall a fantastic handset, and another leader among the growing Android clique.
3. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
The Xperia Arc is a stunner, thanks to its 4.2-inch display and wonderfully thin profile. It runs the latest version of the Android operating system and has a really excellent camera.
2. Apple iPhone 4
The iPhone 4 is a stunning smartphone backed up by the equally brilliant App Store. But after remaining our top handset for most of the past year, it's finally been knocked down into second place.
1. Samsung Galaxy S2
A Samsung is an absolute joy to use - so much so that we struggled to find a flaw with it. From its gorgeous Super AMOLED Plus screen to its super-fast processor and full HD video recording, it ticks all the boxes and then som.

Parse the new Apple iMac Intel 21.5 "EMC 2428 Teardown

Parse the new Apple iMac Intel 21.5 "EMC 2428 Teardown
Operatives portal iFixit on the traditionally high level - hardly in the online Apple store has a new 21.5-inch iMac EMC 2428, he was immediately taken to a testing laboratory and has undergone painstaking disassembly. No surprises did not happen - as the previous generation iMac, «the first line of defense is a protective glass screen perfectly removes with a pair of suction cups.

Inside the sample is parsed the following configuration:- Intel Core i5 2,5 GHz with 6 MB L3 cache;- Hard Drive 500 GB Western Digital 7200 rpm;- 4 GB of RAM;- Graphics Card AMD ATI Radeon HD 6750M;- LCD screen with a diagonal of 21.5''LED-backlit display and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (matrix production of LG is the same as in the previous generation iMac);
Located outside the battery terminals:- Audio line in and out,- Four USB 2.0,- Firewire 800,- Gigabit Ethernet, and Thunderbolt.- Slot SDXC located near the optical drive.
In general, no surprises emerged, overall rating of maintainability of the new 21,5''iMac Release iFixit: 7 out of 10 (the higher the score, the easier it is to fix the device on its own). LCD matrix and a protective cover is easily removed, the core components are replaced without any problems. Replacing the graphics chip or the CPU will require extraction of the motherboard that can "get" anyone - would have to unplug the set of connectors and jiggle the card in different directions, pulling it out. Install the screen and protective glass as perfectly as it did at the factory, is unlikely to succeed, so I have to live with it.

Tri-Star IV a robot rover (5 photos + video)

It is quite logical move offered a team of engineers at Tokyo Technical Institute, led by Professor Shigeo Hirose. In cooperation with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, they have developed a unique lunar rover that can go on any terrain. As it turned out, the machine will be useful to examine the Fukushima or the lunar surface, which consists of very small particles, much smaller than Earth sand. Therefore, the challenge is to keep the machine on a given surface. The developers refused to use in the construction of tracks, which provide sufficient stability, but have low maneuverability.
Therefore, they used the wheel, consisting of a curved springy metal sheet, coated sheet and plates with notches. This allows the car to pass and on the sand and stones, and, naturally, on artificial surfaces. For example, in the rubble at the Fukushima nuclear power plant-1. Developers are confident that a more serious test a new robot and can not think of.
