9-year-old girl arrested after tantrum
A 9-year old Florida girl faces several felonies after a tantrum that began on a school bus with a spitting incident and ended up with the child throwing chunks of asphalt at the bus and a metal chair at a deputy.
Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 9-year-old girl is facing multiple felony charges after a fit of rage that began on a school bus, where she spit on staff members and throwing a chair at a deputy."Officials say the girl jumped off the school bus Monday afternoon after spitting at staff members" and a "sheriff's report says a deputy saw the girl toss large pieces of asphalt at the bus, hitting the windshield next to the driver."
The report adds that authorities say the girl walked away when she saw the deputy.
But next the out of control child "picked up a metal chair in a nearby yard and threw it at the deputy." and "when he said she was under arrest, the girl resisted by kicking and attempting to push him."
It is unknown what started the rage.
No one was hurt, but she's facing serious charges.
The girl faces charges of battery on a public school employee, throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle, battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
