Woman drinks bowling ball
York County deputies told The Herald of Rock Hill that the 12-pound ball caused a cut to the woman’s forehead deep enough that officers could see her skull Sunday.
Investigators say 31-year-old Omar Stevenson left the bowling alley immediately, but was arrested a short time later. Deputies say he told them he lost his temper, was sorry and asked how the victim was doing. Stevenson remains in the York County jail on a $100,000 bond. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
Stevenson was arrested on Dec. 18, 2011 after hurling a 12 pound ball at an unnamed woman. She was sitting on a bench while it was his turn at the lane.
"Witnesses said they saw Stevenson pick up the ball and throw it at the woman before he left the alley. Police arrested the suspect outside of the sports center. He told officers he lost his temper and he regretted throwing the ball at her and asked how she was doing."
