Britney ex says engagement fake

Although Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline approved of the singer's recent engagement to Jason Trawick, Spears' first ex-husband, Jason Alexander, isn't too thrilled about the star's move to tie the knot.

Alexander and Spears wed back in 2004 in Las Vegas. The two childhood friends said their "I dos" at The Little White Chapel but their marriage was annulled just 55 hours later.

"I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not," Alexander, told Us Weekly. "I think it's fake and I think people are afraid to say it."

"They look like they are going through the motions. It seems like a answer to the court thing," he added. "Sort of a nice way to sew it all up she marries her handler."

Spears is currently under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears. Trawick and Spears have been dating since the summer of 2009. Prior to that, the two had a professional relationship as Trawick was Spears' manager. The two ended their professional ties in May 2010 to "focus on their personal relationship."

Spears got engaged to Trawick on December 15, Trawick confirmed the news, telling Access Hollywood, "Yes, we are engaged... [We are] over the moon."

The newly-engaged couple celebrated the occasion and Trawick's 40th birthday a few days later in Las Vegas, at the Chateau Night Club.

Spears, 30, wrote on Twitter on December 17, "Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family.

Previously, Spears was married to Kevin Federline for two and a half years before their marriage ended in 2007. Spears and Federline have two sons together, Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5.

Federline said he is "really happy" for Spears and her recent engagement and thinks Jason Trawick is "a great guy."
